The number of magnetizing poles required for different types of motors

First， we talk about the types of magnetization:

A.The outer charging of the magnetic ring — that is, the outer surface of the magnetic ring is filled with magnetic poles, which are generally used for the rotor of the motor;
B.The inner filling of the magnetic ring — that is, the inner surface of the magnetic ring is filled with magnetic poles, which are generally used for the stator or outer rotor of the motor;
C.Oblique charging of the magnetic ring — that is, the magnetic pole filled on the surface of the rotor and the two end faces of the magnetic ring into an Angle of less than 90°;
D.Axial magnetization — namely magnetizing up and down along the axis of the magnetic ring and magnetic sheet, which can be divided into:
(1) Axial 2-pole magnetization — that is, one end of the magnetic piece is N pole, and the other end is S pole, which is the simplest magnetization;
(2) Axial single-sided multipole magnetization — the main product is magnetic sheet, that is, a surface of the magnetic piece is filled with more than 2 magnetic poles;
(3) axial double-sided multipole magnetization — that is, on both sides of the magnetic parts are filled with more than 2 magnetic poles, and the polarity is opposite.
For axial single-sided or double-sided multipole magnetization, single-sided magnetic table is higher than double-sided, but the other side of the single-sided magnetic table is very low, in fact, the addition of the two sides of the single-sided magnetic table is the same as the addition of the two sides.
E.Radial magnetization — As the name suggests, radiated magnetic field radiates from the center of the circle.For the magnetic ring, the surface of the inner circle is of one polarity after magnetization, and the surface of the outer circle is of one polarity.For the magnetic tile, the effect of radial magnetization is better than that of ordinary magnetization. It can make the magnetic surface of the inner arc surface of the magnetic tile closer to each other.
Generally speaking, the number of poles refers to the multipole magnetization of the motor.For magnetic rings, 2-pole magnetic rings are mostly used in small DC motors, some of which may have 4 poles.And stepper motor, brushless DC motor, synchronous motor for magnetic ring 4, 6, 8, 10…. Equally even poles.
